Materials Needed:
- DTF transfer film
- Inkjet printer with DTF ink
- Heat press or iron
- Hoodie (preferably cotton or a cotton blend)
- Scissors or cutter
- Teflon sheet or parchment paper
Step-by-Step Process:
- Design Your Graphic:
- Create or choose a design for your hoodie. Ensure it is in the correct size and format for printing.
- Print the DTF Transfer:
- Load the DTF transfer film into your printer.
- Print your design onto the film using DTF ink. Make sure to mirror the image if it contains text.
- Apply Adhesive Powder:
- While the ink is still wet, sprinkle DTF adhesive powder evenly over the printed area.
- Shake off any excess powder.
- Cure the Adhesive:
- Place the transfer in a heat press at a temperature of about 160°C (320°F) for 30-60 seconds to cure the adhesive.
- Allow it to cool before handling.
- Prepare the Hoodie:
- Preheat your heat press to about 160°C (320°F).
- Position the hoodie on the heat press and ensure it is wrinkle-free.
- Transfer the Design:
- Place the cured DTF transfer onto the desired area of the hoodie.
- Cover with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper to protect the fabric.
- Press down firmly for about 15-20 seconds.
- Peel the Transfer:
- Allow the transfer to cool slightly, then peel off the film. If the film sticks, press again for a few seconds.
Care Instructions:
- Wash the hoodie inside and out in cold water.
- Avoid bleach and harsh detergents.
- Hang to dry or tumble dry on low heat.
