Here are the steps you can take to properly maintain the white ink and ensure consistent, high-quality DTF prints:
Step 1: Shake the White Ink Before Filling the DTF Printer
When you get the white ink, shake the bottle up and down before applying it to the printer. Generally, after 20 times of shaking, the layered ink will remix evenly. If the ink has been stored for over three months, the number of shakes should be doubled. This is because the white ink is water-based, and after being stored for more than half a month, it can start to stratify. Shaking the ink before use will help ensure a better printing result.
Step 2: Shake the White Cartridge 1 Time a Day
Even if you don’t need to perform DTF printing on a particular day, shaking the white ink cartridge before running the printer is important. This will help prevent the white ink from settling and causing issues.
Step 3: Perform a Nozzle Test 1 Time a Day
Open the white ink circulation device and then test the printing mesh. Print a small pattern (print it several times) to ensure that the printhead is working properly. If the printing mesh is not working, clean the printhead. Performing this nozzle test daily helps to prevent the white ink from curing in the print head nozzles, which can lead to clogging and poor print quality.
