UV printer model selection guide

With the continuous development of technology and customer needs, UV printer models on the market are constantly updated.

UV printers come in a variety of shapes and sizes, allowing you to choose your preferred design from a wide range of options. These machines incorporate high-quality systems and features that make each model suitable for different uses. You can typically find several types of UV printers, usually divided into six main models, including:

1.UV Flatbed Printer
UV flatbed printers are ideal for printing on flat surfaces such as paper, cards, envelopes, plaques and nameplates. You can also place flexible materials like cloth or canvas on these devices for added convenience when dealing with dynamic markets.
2.Roll-to-roll UV printer (RTR UV Printer)
Roll-to-roll UV printers use wide-format rollers and advanced technology to print on your surface without creating smudges or footprints. The printer has an ergonomic structure and is designed to fit on flexible surfaces such as fabrics, soft ceiling films, canvas, car stickers and large papers. It also features adjustable tension, allowing you to easily modify settings to maintain your preferred level of operation.
3. Rotary UV printer
Rotary UV printers allow you to work directly on cylindrical shapes such as glassware, drinkware, candles or plastic tubes. Additionally, it supports printing on conical objects, helping you handle a variety of tasks in busy industries. You can rely on full 360-degree coverage to create full-color wrapped images on nearly any curved object.
4. Glass-Printing Device
This UV printer type lets you print on glass surfaces such as plaques, awards, and signage to create a stylish and neat look. The integrated intelligent control system delivers high-precision printing to eliminate smudges and scratches on the glass material. Using the machine’s state-of-the-art technology, you can achieve a colorful finish in color, white, and brilliant varnish on various glass products.
5. UV Digital Printer
The UV digital printer comes in different sizes, including industrial-size and tabletop models to suit your needs when working in a factory or a small office. It features printing techniques such as automatic feathering and a jump printing function that facilitates stability and accuracy. You can also enjoy printing for extended periods, since stable performance can support working continuously for 24 hours.
6. Direct to Substrate UV Printer
A direct to substrate UV printer offers a dynamic operation that lets you print on various materials, including metal, glass, paper, and plastic. This versatility helps you improve budget management, since you do not have to spend extra funds on buying a different machine specifically constructed for each material type.
The device produces high-resolution images that make it suitable when reproducing fine art and photographic work. You can also utilize it to create signage for hoardings, interior and exterior displays, event signage, and architectural and transportation projects.

AGP has UV3040, UV-F30 and UV-F604 printers. Many customers are always confused about which one is best for them when sending inquiries. Today, we will provide our customers with a selection guide.

There are two main types of small-format UV printers on the market, one is a flatbed printer, and the other is a roll-to-roll printer represented by UV DTF. Both models are UV printers that use UV ink and have the characteristics of waterproof and corrosion-resistant UV printing. But their applicable application ranges are different. Before knowing how to choose, let’s first understand the differences between these two models.

UV roll-to-roll printers are mainly used in various types of roll media, and their main application areas are almost the same as UV flatbed printers. It is important that the printing format is roll to roll. The limitations of this type of printer are the same as UV flatbed printers, which cannot print high-drop and reflective materials.

UV DTF printers emerge as complementary solutions to UV flatbed printers and UV RTR printers. The UV feature pattern printed directly on the object is turned into a UV crystal label, which solves the problems of height difference and object reflection. Flatbed printing of UV DTF is suitable for small batch production, while roll-to-roll printing is more efficient and more suitable for mass production.

AGP small UV hybrid printer UV3040 supports traditional UV flatbed printing, UV RTR printing and UV DTF sheet printing. Considering that some groups need to produce UV DTF crystal labels in large quantities, we also designed UV DTF printers F30 and F604. It can be used as a UV DTF printer or a small RTR printer. One machine has multiple uses, suitable for a variety of complex application scenarios, and is extremely cost-effective. To facilitate your comparison, we have prepared a horizontal comparison table for your reference.
