DTF printer is a device specially designed for printing printed patterns on products such as clothing. The DTF process can be used on products such as clothing, school bags, pillows, shoes and hats, and the effect is very good. It can adapt to various fiber fabrics and has a wide range of uses. TEXTEK analyzes the main reasons for the white outline of DTF printers when printing printed patterns.
Reasons for white outline in DTF Printing
White outline are a common problem in direct-to-film (DTF) printing and can affect the appearance of the final product. Some causes include:
1.Equipment malfunctions
2.Irregularities
3.Contamination
4.Static electricity
5.Short internal circuit spacing
6.Pattern related concerns
7.Misaligned print heads
8.Semi-transparent pixels at the outline of graphics
There are many problems that can cause white outline, and sometimes it is not a problem with the DTF printer equipment. For example, the most common one is that the product pattern provided by the customer has white outline, but because it is hidden deeper, it is not easy to find. The first thing to do when this problem occurs is to modify the pattern. Use PS drawing software to remove the white outline in the pattern. Excluding the problem of the pattern itself, there are some other reasons that will cause the DTF printed pattern to have white lines. The following two reasons are emphasized.
1. Nozzle reasons
If the nozzle is not debugged well, there are impurities, or it is cleaned for a long time, these reasons will cause ink flying or ink blocking and other faults, and white outline will appear on the screen. Therefore, regular maintenance and cleaning of the nozzle should be done on a daily basis.
In addition, the height of the nozzle should also be adjusted to the appropriate height.
If the nozzle is too close to the DTF printing film, it is easy to wear the fine nozzle holes in the nozzle; if the nozzle is too far from the printing film, the ink droplets are easily affected by external factors during the spraying process, resulting in inaccurate landing points and white outline.
2. Causes of static electricity
The weather in winter is relatively dry, and the equipment is more likely to generate static electricity.
The DTF heat transfer printer is a wide printing device that relies on a computer to control image output. Its core components are various motherboards, and the internal circuit spacing is short. It is easy to cause abnormal film movement and wrinkling due to static electricity, affecting the printing effect. If the static electricity is too large, it will also cause flying ink and broken ink. Therefore, static electricity should be prevented in particular.
Because static electricity attracts objects and produces force, if the white ink heat transfer machine encounters static electricity when performing printing tasks, the heat transfer ink will be scattered due to static electricity, resulting in scattered ink or white outline in the printed product.
How to solve the problem of static electricity?
1. Control room temperature and humidity. Generally speaking, the printing environment is kept within the relative humidity range of 50%-75% and 15℃-30℃, which will not affect the ink droplets on the nozzle of the heat transfer printer and ensure the printing accuracy.
2. Connect the ground wire to the white ink heat transfer printer.
3.Before each printing task, wipe the DTF printing film with alcohol to manually remove static electricity.
If there are white outline in DTF printing, you can focus on two points: check whether the nozzle is not properly debugged or has not been cleaned for a long time. Secondly, in dry climates, you need to eliminate the static electricity problem. If you have any other questions, please contact us directly.
