What is UV DTF Printing?

UV printing is a digital printing method that uses ultraviolet light to cure or dry ink and create an adhesive. However, UV printing can only print on flat surfaces and cannot print on curved surfaces and irregular objects. Recently, with UV DTF technology, this printing technology uses UV curing ink to print the design directly onto the object, just press it with your finger. UV DTF film can be peeled off without heat pressing. Transfer these designs to hard and irregularly shaped objects. UV-curable inks cure by exposure to UV light, which makes them more durable and less susceptible to fading.

How does uv dtf printer work？

Option 1: Print directly on the product.

UV-3040 multifunctional UV DTF flatbed printer can print on both flat and cylindrical surfaces, just like normal UV printers, you can place the products you need to print directly on the flatbed, such as cell phone cases, keychains, acrylic panels, cups and so on.

Option 2: Use UV DTF film transfer, also known as "AB UV DTF Film Solution". (I recommend you to use our new model S series UV DTF Printer, UV-S30, UV-S604).

In this solution, when the design is printed on the "A" film, the ink is immediately exposed to UV light from a cold LED light source and cures quickly. After printing, the "A" film is adhered to the "B" film using a laminator. Film "A" is located on the back side of the design and film "B" on the front side. In order to transfer the design, the outline of the design is cut out with a cutting machine or with scissors, and the "A" film is removed so that the design is firmly adhered to the object. It does not require hot pressing, just finger pressure, and after a few seconds the "B" film is peeled off and the design is successfully transferred to the substrate.

Main applications of UV DTF:

Advertising materials: including labels and packaging, posters, signage, bottle printing, etc.
Customized products: including leather printing, mobile phone cases, glass, metal materials.
In general, almost all applications of UV printing are included.
