The print head is the heart of your DTF printer. Because DTF white ink contains titanium dioxide, it is heavier than CMYK inks and tends to settle when the machine is idle, which can lead to frustrating clogs.
1. Shake the White Ink Regularly: Before starting your daily production, gently shake the white ink tanks or rely on an automated white ink circulation system to keep the pigments suspended.
2. Perform Daily Test Prints: Even if you don't have large orders, print a small nozzle check pattern daily. Keeping the ink flowing prevents it from drying inside the nozzles.
3. Maintain Proper Humidity and Temperature: Keep your print room at 20-28°C and 40%-60% humidity. Dry air accelerates ink drying at the nozzle plate.
4. Keep the Capping Station Clean: Wipe away excess ink buildup around the wiper and capping station using a specialized cleaning solution and lint-free swabs.
Consistent maintenance takes only 10 minutes a day but saves you thousands in replacement parts. Ensure your business stays efficient by pairing good habits with stable, high-tech industrial DTF equipment.
